This April we get aerials!!

Miss Gail Force was blown into existence with charm, grace and the ability to tear phone books in half. A trapeze artist, cabaret, performer and strong woman on the side. Gail Force is all about spectacle and above all a cheeky smile and a twinkle in her eye.

Miss Gail Force began circus school at age 9 after regularly finding herself dragged out of trees, hay lofts or whatever else she could climb. Specializing in aerial performance (and the occasional spinning of hula hoops) she has flipped through NYC Fringe Festival, Prague Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, La Fura Des Baus and The Flying Lotahs.

Establishing her own company Fliptease in 2006 you can find Miss Gail performing, programming, designing and teaching just about any place there is a space for it. After recently returning from training with the China Acrobatic Troupe (Beijing International Arts School) and a whirl wind
tour of everywhere else we are ever so lucky to find her in our lap!

At this Dr Sketchy’s we have an actual aerial performance so you had better do some neck exercises as well as hand stretches before you come along!

Kimtortion, an extremely flexible young starlet ran away to the circus and met Jaan, a German backpacker with an uncanny ability to juggle anything and everything! The two performers fell in love almost instantly and wowed audiences with talents the likes of which people had never seen before! Their fantastic career seemed to be cut short when one day Kimtortion fell from a great height whilst rigging for aerial performances. Sadly Kim had lost the use of her legs but Jaan picked her up and carried her like a princess from show to show! They now perform the legendary Ragdoll act where Kimtortion’s exquisite flexibility and upper body strength shines through. A Truly amazing performance team!

This month in the spirit of Christmas we bring you a Saint Nic who slays. Viking Santa!!

Once a year Asgoth the Abominable transforms into his red and white garb to delight children at the Down Syndrome Association and of course to deliver presents to those who are worthy. Having trained 10 years with Swordplay performance group “The Grey Company” Asgoth is a champion in dagger fighting and also specializes in gladiator and dark ages fights. He has appeared in films such as Queen of the Damned, Fire and steel, The Dead Cat Society and the soon to be released film Congoro – Legend of the Jungle. Be prepared for some wild swordplay, viking thrones and sitting on Santa’s lap to ask for presents. I hope you haven’t been naughty this year!

Ginger LaMinge is one half of Perth’s dynamic vaudeville/burlesque duo ‘The Vintage Reds’. She also performs as a solo burlesque artist, pinup model, and musical comedian. She is the title winner of ‘Miss Burlesque Perth’ and (ironically) ‘Miss Elegance’ in the 2010 Miss Burlesque Australia Competition.
With facial expressions that can’t be tamed, a love for all things ridiculous, and a saucy devious streak, this foxy, flame follicled femme fatale is sure to put the fire back into your y-fronts, stamp it out with her stiletto, tenderly nurse you back to health, and then take some of her clothes off.
